First-of-its-Kind Integration Provides Pre-Approved Renter’s Insurance at Lease Signing

IRVINE, Calif, (December 1, 2006)

Reducing risk at an apartment community just got even easier. A new strategic partnership between LeasingDesk Insurance Services, the largest provider of resident insurance programs for the multifamily industry, and Blue Moon Software, the exclusive lease fulfillment provider for the National Apartment Association (NAA) and its affiliates, simplifies the process of implementing full participation insurance programs at multifamily communities.

The integration provides owners with the ability to offer every prospective resident pre-approved renter’s insurance as an integral part of the apartment lease. The service is free to owners and helps streamline the process of enrolling residents in renter’s insurance programs at lease signing.

"Recent changes to the NAA Master Lease provide owners with an automatic method of requiring renter's insurance as a condition of the residency. Once the lease application is complete and the prospective resident has accepted the pre-approved renter's insurance policy, their information is sent to LeasingDesk via a proprietary WSDL-based bridge to initiate policy coverage. The improved workflow reduces errors in insurance enrollment by utilizing information directly from the lease, effectively eliminating duplicated data fields and expediting the leasing process. With this procedure in place, leasing representatives can reduce training time and administrative burden.
